CANADA EXPERIENCE CLASS

Eligibility

To be eligible in the Canada Experience Class (CEC), an applicant must have:

  • 12 months working experience in Canada (within the last three years), in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3
  • have specific language proficiency depending on the type of job:
    • Canadian Language Benchmark 7 for NOC TEER 0 or NOC TEER 1
    • Canadian Language Benchmark 5 for NOC TEER 2 or NOC TEER 3

 

Application Process for Permanent Residence (PR)

Applications for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is submitted through the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) application system called “Express Entry“.

The steps include:

  1. Enter a profile onto the Express Entry system:
    • applicant is allocated points based on information on profile
    • applicant is also delegated into an immigration class and perhaps a special category
  2. Applicant waits for an Express Entry inviation
    • rounds of invitations are issued at various intervals
    • at times, the invitations include a target immigration class or category
  3. Receive an invitation to apply for Permanent Residence (PR) from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) through Express Entry profile
  4. Prepare and submit official Permanent Residence Application on Express Entry portal
