CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS –
150th ANNIVERSARY OF CONFEDERATION

The official emblem of Canada 150 is a series of 13 diamonds in the shape of a maple leaf, each diamond representing one of the 13 provinces and territories. The four core red diamonds represent the first four provinces of the Confederation of Canada.

Canadians, rich in our origins, celebrated the 150th birthday of the youthful and promising Canada on 1 July 2017, Canada Day.

GOING TO PARLIAMENT TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC

Cobus Kriek, the Owner of Matrixvisa Inc, was invited by the ‘Canadian Parliamentary Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration’ to appear before the committee on 5 April 2017. He will be providing an opinion about the role of oversight bodies in regulating and providing adequate oversight of regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants.

Matrixvisa receives dozens of complaints about so called “Ghost agents” or unregulated agents in South Africa and Canada every year. Last year we reported some of these individuals to the Canadian Federal Prosecution Service. We hope that our contribution to the committee will further assist to protect the public from unscrupulous immigration agents.

Our contribution to the Committee will be made available on our website after we make the presentation.

Immigration News

The Minister of Immigration Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) has indicted on 12 Aug that he plans to substantially increase immigration to Canada. The expectation is that the number of immigrants will slowly increase over the coming years.

Last month Matrixvisa Inc. was invited by the IRCC to participate in an event with the federal government on 25 Aug 2016 to provide feedback to the federal government on Express Entry. We attended and provided feedback to contribute to the hoped for improvement of the present Express Entry System.
